Citrus Crossing Affordable Senior Housing Grand Opening
GLENDALE, CA - A ceremony took place on September 17, 2024 to celebrate the grand opening of Citrus Crossing, an affordable, senior housing community in Glendale, CA. The community was developed by Meta Housing with support from the City of Glendale Housing Authority and Western Community Housing. Allison Levy, Senior Project Manager for Meta Housing, praised the project team for their dedication and hard work to complete this important community for seniors in Glendale. Honored speakers included the Mayor of the City of Glendale, Elen Asatryan; Mike Fortney, Deputy Director of Community Development/Housing; Graham Espley Jones, President of Western Community Housing; Councilmember Ardy Kassakhian; Garrett Gin from Bank of America, and Hao Li from Citi Community Capital.
Citrus Crossing is comprised of 126 studio and one-bedroom units, and one manager's unit. Amenities include 3 spacious roof decks with phenominal views and gardens; a multi-purpose flex-room; a computer center; laundry facilities; and a large community center that opens to a large ground floor courtyard. In addition to these amenities, Citrus Crossing provides social connections and enrichment programs for residents to grow and thrive in their new supportive community.
