Westfield Village School Modernization

West Sacramento, CA

AC Martin completed an extensive modernization of Westfield Village School. The project consisted of a modernization and re-purposing of 18 existing classrooms, added 7 new Pre-K and K classrooms, added a new administration building along with a new Library, Wellness Center, a Physical Education and Visual Arts / Performing Arts building. The modernization replaced the existing full-service kitchen and upgrading the existing multipurpose building interiors. New electrical, data, fire alarm, and security systems were added along with security fencing and site security access. The modernization also included ADA upgrades of all existing buildings, site facilities and restrooms. In addition, the site was completely re-constructed including replacing all site utilities, offsite improvements, a new off street bus turnout, sidewalks and driveways, new parking with provisions for future EV charging stations, hardscape, landscaping, new play areas, and play shade structures. The project added softball and soccer fields, a garden area, trash enclosure, bike parking and reworked public site access to the site and the adjacent park parking. The buildings also received new finishes, exciting new color schemes, signage and materials throughout.
