AC Martin and Irvine & Associates Present a New Webinar
On Thursday, February 29, 2024, AC Martin and Irvine & Associates presented an insightful webinar titled "Unlocking Potential: Approved California Housing Legislation for Expedited & Higher Density Solutions." The educational event shed light on the approved California Housing Legislation that could significantly influence the trajectory of multifamily housing development in the state.
The collaboration included Gilbert Rocca, Principal at AC Martin, and Alex Irvine, Tanner Blackman, and Tim Moran of Irvine & Associates. The team delved into various bills addressing critical aspects of housing, including affordability, adaptive reuse, state density bonuses, faith-based properties, and mixed-income housing. In addition to the legislative overview, the event provided a practical dimension with case studies of several AC Martin-designed multifamily projects influenced by these bills. This unique feature provided attendees with a tangible understanding of how the legislation translates into action within the realm of multifamily housing development. The team reviewed how these bills have impacted San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and the Bay Area.
The webinar served as a valuable resource for industry professionals, developers, and stakeholders eager to stay abreast of the latest legislative developments and their practical implications on the California housing market.
The Overview of Housing Bills included: AB 1449, AB 1490, AB 1287, SB 4, SB 423, SB 684
As well as Housing Bills approved prior to 2024: SB 35, AB 2162, AB 2011 / SB 6, AB 2334 (AB 1763), SB 330 / SB 8 – HAA + Vesting, AB 2097, SB 9 + ADU
